Our life is a constant optimization game.
Constraints required for optimization are:
Ultimately, it is the value system of one’s life.
Also, the constraints are priorities in
allocating the limited resources in our lives.
(time, money, mental/physical energy, etc.)
This can change internally depending on learning and experience and
may be necessary to detect changed situations and environments and adapt to them.
This is ultimately accompanied by a process of ‘giving up’.
If the purpose and mission are clear,
based on that, we can choose relatively quickly and clearly.
Such ‘intentional decision-making’ always leads to learning.
Humans are social animals.
Prefer leaning on collective intelligence gained from society,
to trying and erroring all constraints.
We want to minimize the risk and cost of experimenting/trying things on our won.
We easily bring in the constraints of ‘trends’ or ‘fashions’.
Coexistence based on this human nature is
in earlier times, instilled social ideology (religion, political ideology)
after that, broadcasting advertising and marketing
recently, it seems to be done under the name of personalized ‘recommendation’ – either by algorithm or by influencers.
We start with our selfishness to maximize our utility.
unfortunately, if its original purpose and values are not clear,
like eating foods greedily,
as if you were fascinated and placed various products in your online shopping cart,
we cram into our limited time and energy slots.
Ironically, in the meantime
we feel the satisfaction of ‘it is helpful to me.’
And in fact,
It is a well-constructed and designed part of the structure to last for a long time.
The meaning of benefit or help to me also changes.
Recently, ‘delicious’, ‘fun’, and ‘good looking’
seem to have emerged as a meaningful value for ‘mental health’.
‘Purpose’ may change depending on the situation.
We may need to adapt our ‘value’ standards
as a social human being.
Even so, there should always be purpose and intention.
So based on that
reorganization, improvement, and evolution can occur.
Every moment of my life
is a result of my choice.
That choice is instantly decided
under constraints built up in my conscious and unconscious mind.
This is the optimization outcome value.
